This is the tournament that both Ian and I have wanted to win for three or four years years now. With a second place finish in previous years, and MULTIPLE breakdowns. We knew we had our work cut out for us with a stout field of anglers, were decided to try a totally different area from previous years. Little did we know we were about to have one of the funnest weekends of fishing we’ve ever had.

We started the day with a majestic run across the lake, five minutes into our first spot Ian hooks up with a 4.88 LB Smallmouth to start off our 22.56 pound bag. We fished around catching multiple fish ranging from 3.5 lbs - 4.5 lbs we slowly pieced our mega bag together.

Starting off day 2 we knew we had to catch another good bag of fish if we wanted to pull off the win. Our day was similar to day 1 we started off strong and slowly chipped our way up to a 21.30 Pound bag. Going into weight ins we felt confident knowing that most of the teams would really have to catch them if they wanted a chance to win. We Weighted our fish for a grand total of 43.85 pounds for 2 days, and won the tournament having one of the most memorable weekends of fishing either of us had ever had. A massive shout out to the whitefish bay committee of volunteers, we can’t thank you all enough for all of your hard work and dedication to this tournament every year.
